Most of us are never going to be royals (thanks for the reminder, Lorde).
But twelve American girls were tricked into thinking they were vying for Prince Harry's love in the reality TV competition I Wanna Marry "Harry." (Bless their hearts.)
So, um, how did these wannabe-princesses think Cressida Bonas man would go The Bachelor route to find his wife? An average English "bloke" was given a royal makeover that (kinda) made him resemble the real spare heir.
"Harry" was then put up in a lavish English estate and the 12 looking-for-love ladies from the U.S. flew in from across the pond to join him. (Per Deadline, the unscripted series was filmed under the working title Dream Date to try and keep the girls from figuring things out.)
From there, "Harry" had to try and convince the women that he was regal (aka he must be the new king of catfishing), and he has to figure out whether they're falling for a nonexistent regal title or his real heart.
So will these commoners fall for "Harry," or will they turn out to be complete crown-chasers? We'll have to wait and see if the fake fairytale has a happily-ever-after ending.
I Wanna Mary "Harry" premieres May 27 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
