A MAN INJURED in an attack on Main Street in Swords last month has died in hospital.
Taiwo Jamani, aged 45 years and a Nigerian national, died in Beaumont Hospital today after he was injured in an incident with baseball bats on 10 October.
A 37-year-old man, Jooda Akanbi with an address in Swords, is currently before the courts in relation to assaulting the deceased.
The attack occurred in broad daylight on Main Street in the north Dublin town at about 12.20pm before Jamani was taken by ambulance to Beaumont.
Two baseball bats were recovered from the scene by gardaà afterwards.
Gardaà are renewing their appeal for any persons who were in the vicinity and may have witnessed the incident to contact them if they have not already done so.
this is really terrible! justice must be done and very fast. this should not be like other cases that are thrown under the rug
