Sinead O'Connor hits back at Miley Cyrus after her mockery

Sinead O'Connor has hit back at Miley Cyrus in another open letter after the popstar poked fun at Sinead's mental health, comparing her to Amanda Bynes.

Miley's offensive tweets came on the same day as Sinead wrote an open letter to her, urging Miley to tone down her sexualised image.

Miley, 20, then took to Twitter in response but rather than posting a considered message, she mocked Sinead's now infamous breakdown.

The singer posted a screengrab of Sinead's tweets alongside the caption: "Before Amanda Bynes there was..."

She then made a less-the-serious invitation to meet up with Sinead, saying: "Sinead. I don't have time to write you an open letter cause Im hosting & performing on SNL this week. So if youd like to meet up and talk lemme know in your next letter. :)"
