2018

This particular story is close to my heart because i was directly affected by this fraudster, i shared the story HERE .Sometime in 2012 i saw an advert of a house to Let in Ajao Estate area, i called the number and eventually met with the developer, after payment, i realized the man, pictured above already gave the place to 100 others, he was arrested and charged to court, at a point i gave up, the constant visits to court almost cost me my job, so i gave up and prayed for justice to be served,

just yesterday, An Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court  sentenced the property developer, Alhaji Ayobami Oseni, to several years imprisonment for defrauding 133 accommodation seekers of N25 million. Chief Magistrate O. O. Olatunji convicted Oseni after he pleaded guilty to 267 counts of conspiracy, obtaining under false pretenses and stealing.
Olatunji held that the offences contravened Sections 285, 312 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Oseni got 10 years imprisonment on each of the 267 counts without an option of fine.
The sentences, which are to run concurrently, take effect from April 26, 2017 when Oseni was remanded in prison custody following the revocation of his bail.
Thus, the convict should spend only 10 years in jail, but if the one year he has spent in remand is deducted, his prison time reduces to nine years.

It took a while but Justice was eventually served.

She was the best-graduating Chemical Engineering student in the year 2008/2009 from Obafemi Awolowo University with a CGPA of 4.88 Check out our Conversation Below   Me; Hi Olawunmi, long time, how have you been? I started calling myself a failed blogger because after blogging for so many years, I didn't get the anticipated traffic, so I abandoned it for more interesting things, well, so I thought, unknown to me, once a writer, always a writer, II have been writing on some of my social media platforms and I noticed the traffic is not exactly how I expect it to be, I started questioning myself, am I that bad? why am I not getting the level of interest that I envisaged from people, then it dawned on me. I... get it now.... I am called out to write for the purpose of uplifting, which means my stories and posts are all about good news and uplifting stories, this is not what most people like to hear, what they like is something catchy with an undertone of bad news, it's not their fault, the brain is wired to zoom in on the negatives. I woke up one morning and said to myself, if sharing good news...
