A prostitute found dead in Britain had hidden her life as a sex worker from her family. Jessica McGraa, 37, was found dead in an apartment in Aberdeen, Scotland, after telling her husband she was travelling from her London home to sell hair extensions.
The Merseyside husband of a murdered high-class prostitute was heartbreakingly asked by their seven-year-old son: “How could anybody do that to my mum?”
Jessica McGraa had told estranged husband Gareth she was selling top-quality hair extensions which funded her luxurious lifestyle, but the reality was she was working as a £220-an-hour call girl.
The 37-year-old was found dead at a flat in Aberdeen last Friday, 600 miles from home, as she led a secret existence, selling the “ultimate girlfriend experience” to customers while “on tour” around the UK.
According to the Adult Work website, she charged up to £1,800-a-night and took bookings from men, women and couples, telling prospective clients: ‘I have my regular job and a private life. Do be polite when you call me.’
The mum-of-one, who lived in Brent Park, north London, and was born in Nigeria where she first met Gareth, was also a pious Christian who dragged him to church, he revealed.
Today, Gareth, 56, spoke from his home in Southport about his grief following her killing, and his accompanying disbelief of how the truth was repeatedly hidden from him.
The oil worker told the ECHO: “The last time I saw her was at Christmas, when she came to Southport and left on New Year’s Day.
“She stayed at the Vincent Hotel.
“I spoke to Jessica on the phone, on the Monday or Tuesday before she died. She sounded fine.
“Her death still hasn’t sunk in yet. Although we were living apart, part of me thought we’d get back together again.
“I’ve spoken to our son most days since Jessica died.
“He understands as much as a seven-year-old boy can.
“He asks me: ‘How can anybody do that to my mum?’”
