The rumors, sadly, are true. As suspected for weeks now, Khloe Kardashian has reached a breaking point in her nearly four-year marriage to Lamar Odom. Coming in between the reality star, 29, and NBA free agent, 33, among other things: His serious battle with substance abuse, multiple sources confirm in the new issue of Us Weekly
The addiction had taken over their marriage," a mutual pal tells Us. "The problem is cocaine. He would be high for three or four days at a time." (One rumor that's false, according to a source: TMZ's claim that Odom is addicted to crack.) Desperate, Kim and Kourtney's younger sister gave her "Lammy" an ultimatum on Aug. 21: Get help or get out. Khloe "wants to save her marriage and him," the confidante says.
Up until that dramatic intervention, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had been making excuses for her man's erratic behavior. "She says the things he does are because of the drugs, and she just wants him to get help," another friend says.
"I feel so bad for her," the pal continues of Khloe, who wed the athlete after a whirlwind courtship back in September 2009. "She really loves Lamar."
