Presidency Convoy Shoots At Protesting OAU Students, 2 Injured

Hundreds of protesting students of the Obafemi Awolowo University have held a presidential convoy hostage in Ile-Ife, Osun State. The convoy led by a Toyota bullet proof SUV with ‘Presidency’ inscription and registration number, FG902-B02, tried to drive through the students who were protesting an increase in fees by the university management. Security details attached to the convoy then shot, perhaps to scare the protesters, with two of the students reportedly sustaining injuries.

The APC leaders, who condemned the federal government’s inability to subdue the Boko Haram insurgents, urged Nigerians to join “broom revolution” to restore peace to the country. Speaking in Ado-Ekiti yesterday during the presentation of the governorship flag to Dr Kayode Fayemi and unveiling of manifesto for the June 21 governorship poll, Gen. Buhari said it was rather saddening and grievous to see the blood of innocent Nigerians being shed by the insurgents.

Who made the cut? Breaking News: Another bomb blast in Jos

News reaching us just confirmed  there has been multiple explosions believed to be bomb blast in Jos. The explosion happened around 3pm, followed by another explosion, forming thick clouds of smoke towards the sky. The explosion, believed to have been caused by a bomb, occurred around the ever busy Jos Main Market, between Railway Terminus and the temporary site of the Jos University Teaching Hospital. Louis van Gaal appointed the new manager of Manchester United

The 62-year-old was officially named as United's replacement for David Moyes on Monday and, speaking to a Dutch chat show, he said the Chelsea boss was jealous of his list of clubs having previously managed Barcelona, Bayern Munich Ajax and Holland. Van Gaal said: 'Mourinho congratulated me. He was the first one I texted and he was the first one to text me back. He said he was jealous of my list of clubs. 'I didn't call Manchester United, I didn't call Bayern Munich, they've always called me. And I'm proud of that.'
