WHY I DECIDED TO TRANSFORM Going into high school, I didn't want to be the fat kid anymore, so I tried lots of fad diets that never lasted more than a month. I skipped gym class every day my freshman year so I wouldn't have to run. As a junior, I was forced to take weight training class. I was intimidated, but the teacher, who later became my mentor, pushed me like no one had before. I ended up taking the class two more times. I quit working out after high school graduation. In college, I had a doughnut with a huge energy drink before my morning classes and put on more weight. It got to the point where I put a hold on my education to lose weight. I wanted to come back skinny. A month later, I was helping my grandmother pack, weighed myself, saw the scale tip 290 pounds, and thought it couldn't be right. I thought it was old or broken. Charlie boy's dad has been flown abroad

The Imo State Government is concluding arrangement with the family of the retired Supreme Court Justice, Chukwudife Oputa to fly him abroad for further treatment. Oputa was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri, three days ago after family members said he suffered severe stroke. Governor Rochas Okorocha, who visited the ailing legal luminary at the hospital on Wednesday, confirmed to reporters that government was already discussing Oputa’s  medical trip abroad with his family.

Reality TV star Nadejah Williams dies after being denied life saving cancer treatment

A tragic cancer victim who was controversially refused life-saving treatment has died. Nadejah Williams’ courageous fight for life was dealt a series of crushing blows after she was cruelly denied specialist care. Last night her devastated mother, Michelle Campbell-Cairns, raged: “They killed my daughter.” The Government’s decision to hand power on cancer care to the quango NHS England last April was blamed for the shocking way 23-year-old Nadejah was treated. Nadejah, who appeared on Channel 4 reality show Shipwrecked in 2009, was finally given the go-ahead to have pioneering CyberKnife treatment for a rare form of colon cancer after three appeals. The treatment – which is non-invasive and more direct than other forms of radiotherapy – was denied her for months. "Son to Governor T.A Orji of Abia State, Chinedu Orji aka “IKUKU” yesterday displayed another level of his usual unruly and criminal behavior at the Okpara square, Umauhia, venue of the official declaration of his father’s senatorial ambition ahead of the 2015 general elections. “IKUKU”, the self acclaimed Governor of the state, who was angered by the utterance of his late PA over a minor issue, directed his police orderly to shoot the late aide.
