Okorocha swears in sister as Happiness commissioner

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has sworn in 28 new commissioners and 27 Transition Committee Chairmen for the 27 local government councils in the state. He charged them to prove their worth in the service of the state and her people. One of the commissioners sworn in by the governor is his biological sister, Mrs. Ogechi Ololo (nee Okorocha). She is now the state’s Commissioner for Happiness and Couples’ Fulfillment. Ololo, who is married to Chuks, an engineer, was the All Progressives Congress’ candidate into the House of Representatives for the Owerri Federal Constituency seat in 2015 and she has served in various capacities since Okorocha became the state governor in 2011. She had, before her new appointment, served as her brother’s Deputy Chief of Staff  and Special Adviser on Domestic Matters.

Facebook bans women for posting 'men are scum' after series of global harassment scandals

Following the multiple sexual harassment and abuse scandals across the globe, Facebook has been suspending women for “hate speech” against men after posting variations of the phrase “men are scum”.   Despite Facebook’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg warning of a potential backlash against women as scandals rock companies and political institutions, the social network continues to ban women speaking out against men as a group.   New York-based standup comic  Marcia Belsky  was banned in October for 30 days from Facebook for posting “men are scum” as a comment on her friend  Nicole Silverberg’s  photo album detailing the abuse Silverberg had received after writing a list of ways men can treat women better on Twitter.

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi says he will pay all salary arrears of civil servants

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi says he will pay all salary arrears of civil servants cleared and the pension arrears of retirees before the end of 2017. Bello also said that he would commence prompt payment of salaries of workers the state public service from January 2018.

Chinelo Okafor, the best graduating student from the faculty of health sciences university of Nigeria, was given 26 thousand naira for her achievements. The worst part is the Awards and Certificate were all written on Cardboard Paper with Black pen. this is sad.
