A Federal High Court in Abuja has denied bail to the  leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and founder of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and his two other co-accused. Kanu and two others  are being prosecuted for treasonable felony and other offences bordering on their agitation for secession ‎of the Republic of Biafra from Nigeria. ‎Justice John Tsoho in rejecting the accused persons’ bail application on Friday held that they were not entitled to bail as they failed to show that they would not continue to commit the alleged crime for which they were being prosecuted.

Scientists from the University of Oxford have discovered that women with larger than average butts are not only increasingly intelligent but also very resistant to chronic illnesses. According to ABC News, the results found that women with bigger backsides tend to have lower levels of cholesterol and are more likely to produce hormones to metabolize sugar. Therefore, women with big butts are less likely to have diabetes or heart problems. And having a big butt requires an excess of Omega 3 fats, which have been proven to catalyze brain development.

The Federal Government will soon launch what it called Recovery and Peace Building Assessment for the North Eastern part of the country. The former president on Thursday, January 14, 2016, added to his growing list of international awards after being honoured by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), in Atlanta, Georgia.ccording to Vanguard, he got the Presidential Award in recognition of his leadership in advancing human rights, social justice and the fight for universal freedom. The conference was founded by the late American Civil Right leader, Martin Luther King Jr, in January 1957 and is currently led by Dr Charles Steele Jnr.

Rene Angelil, the husband and former manager of Celine Dion, has died aged 73, the singer has announced. Mr Angelil, who Dion married in 1994 and with whom she has three children, died at home in Las Vegas from cancer. Dion took two career breaks to look after Mr Angelil after he was diagnosed with throat cancer, first in 2000. Mr Angelil was born in Montreal in 1942. After managing groups in Canada, he was approached to manage Dion by her parents when she was aged 12.
