Despite the ban of motor cycle on major roads in Lagos state, some of the okada riders(motor cycle riders) have decided to disobey the law by plying some of these routes, this has resulted to so many accidents on the roads, just  some few hours ago, an incidence occurred on third mainland bridge where a bike rider was involved in an accident which left the bike rider and passenger dead.

The Federal Government on Wednesday said it took exception to some of the terms of reference of the transition committee set up by the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.). Minister of National Planning, Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman, disclosed this at the end of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting. Sulaiman, who is the chairman of the Technical Subcommittee of the outgoing government’s transition committee, said the council warned the incoming government against running a parallel government.   Lagos (Lagos State), April 29, 2015 (NAN) The police in Lagos on Wednesday arraigned a father of three, Victor Anike, 40, for allegedly defiling an eight-year old girl.The accused, residing at No. 3, Adesina St., Egbeda Akwonjo in Lagos State, is facing a charge of child-rape before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court. The Prosecutor, ASP Godwin Anyanwu, told the court that the accused committed the offence at his residence on April 10 at 1.06 p.m. Anyanwu said the accused took advantage of the eight-year old daughter of his co-tenant who strayed into his room. “The accused inserted one of his fingers into the minor’s private part and attempted to forcefully have a carnal knowledge of her. “This caused her severe injuries’’, Anyanwu said.
